    Interactive toolKangaroo Island, SA

Kangaroo Island is remote, sun-blasted and weather-changeable, with long gravel-road drives between attractions and patchy mobile coverage. Packing self-sufficiently — sun protection, layers, a rain shell, offline maps, water and snacks — matters more here than it does on a mainland city trip.

Use the checklist below to tick items off as you pack. It saves your progress automatically in your browser, lets you filter by season and activity (hiking, camping, beach, travelling with kids), and prints to a clean one-page-style list when you hit Print / Save as PDF.

Biosecurity — do NOT bring honey or beeswax products. Kangaroo Island is the world's only pure-strain Ligurian honeybee sanctuary. Honey, honeycomb, beeswax and used beekeeping equipment are prohibited from being brought onto the island. Check current SeaLink / PIRSA biosecurity rules before you travel.
